Law Enforcement Appreciation Cookout

By | Latest News | No Comments

Vanguard’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Event was a great success!  Our staff worked so hard to put this together with such a short timeline, and braved the 105 degree heat index to put this on.  Our Corporate Staff set up tables and chairs, food stations, signs, balloons, blue ribbons, served food, grilled burgers and hot dogs, and greeted officers!  Our Corporate Staff located outside of Wilson, made donations of food to their local law enforcement agencies as well!

Thank you also to the generous donations from the Wilson Community to support this event and our Law Enforcement community.

Also, there were several drinks, chips, and cookies left over from the event, which were donated and delivered to Community Christian School for their Day Care Summer Camp!

The Community Supports Our Law Enforcement

By | Latest News | No Comments

This Thursday, July 14th from 1pm-3pm, Vanguard will be providing lunch to the Law Enforcement Officers of Wilson County.

Wilson Police Department – Wilson County Sheriff’s Office – NC State Bureau of Investigation – NC Highway Patrol – NC DMV Inspectors

We invite our Law Enforcement Officers to come have some food and be reminded that we as a community support our Law Enforcement Officers, especially in these trying times.  Anyone who wishes to help donate food for this event please contact Blake Powell at 252.265.9033 so we can account for what we have already.

We have a large tent and seating for our officers, but are looking for assistance with providing hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, condoments, sides, bottled water, plates, utensils, and a pig cooker to handle the volume of food to be cooked.  We have already reached out to businesses in the area and will let you know what we have covered when you call.

Thank to all who assist and thank you to all of our Law Enforcement!
